Sabeena Ahmed Liconte serves as Chief Compliance Officer, Americas to ICBC Standard Bank Group (“ICBC Standard”), including its SEC-registered broker-dealer, ICBC Standard Securities Inc., and its CFTC-registered introducing broker, ICBC Standard Resources (America) Inc.

Prior to joining ICBC Standard, Sabeena’s previous professional experience included serving as Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Chief Legal Officer to the US investment banking division of Bank of China International. She also served as Futures & Derivatives Counsel to E*TRADE Financial Corp., including E*TRADE Clearing Corp. and E*TRADE Securities Corp.; and worked for the Office of General Counsel at Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith Incorporated, the Division of Enforcement at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the Bank of New York Mellon’s Legal Division and the Securities Fraud Prosecution division of the Attorney General’s Office for the State of New Jersey.

Sabeena is a licensed attorney with a Juris Doctor from the St. John’s University School of Law. She also completed a visiting year at Fordham University School of Law. In addition to her law degree, she holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from Columbia University and, paying homage to her Canadian roots, a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Political Science from the University of Toronto.

She also serves as a member of the Executive Committee to the Futures Industry Association’s Law and Compliance Division; advisory board member of the Center for Financial Professionals FinTech Advisory Group; Diversity Chair of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Committee – Futures and Derivatives Law Subcommittee; and member of the New York City Bar Association’s Foreign and Comparative Law Committee, and Derivatives and Futures Committees.

Charles is experienced in managing and leading Business Operations and Non-Financial Risk and Regulatory Compliance functions for the capital markets, wealth and asset management businesses. He is skilled at Risk Enablement and delivery of business driven transformation and complex change programs.

Charles is currently the COO for the Global Markets and Investment Banking business of Nomura in the EU and Switzerland. Prior to joining Nomura, he was the Group Head of Operational Risk at Allied Irish Banks. Before that he was in senior COO and Operational Risk leadership roles at UBS (where he was an MRT), Barclays, JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs. He started his career managing technology and field operations for the United Nations, supporting military peacekeeping and humanitarian missions. 

Maya is an experienced professional focusing on Data Protection, Privacy Regulation and Regulatory Change. In her role as a Risk Manager in EPCOR Privacy, she works with the EMEA teams to manage the risk of regulatory changes and rulings and ensure risk management and compliance are across the forefront of BAC’s business operations.
Maya has over 10 years’ experience delivering security, regulatory and data protection projects across various industries including Investment Management and Retail Banking. She has acquired the skillset to effectively enable transformation within challenging business and IT environments, working with a multitude of technical, organisational and C-suite stakeholders.
Maya is a certified privacy professional and holds CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, CIPP/US, CIPP/A and CISSP certification. She holds a BSc in Business Economics and an MSc in Information management from Tilburg Business School.

Emma Hagan is Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at ClearBank, responsible for all risk and compliance-related activities. She has over 18 years’ experience in commercial and corporate banking in both first and second lines of defence.

Emma joined ClearBank from Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), where she was Chief Risk Officer for EMEA, serving as part of the EMEA leadership and global risk leadership teams. Prior to SVB, she worked at Lloyds HBOS in a variety of roles.

Ange is responsible for Governance and Compliance for Lloyd Banking Group’s Cloud Enabled Business Transformation Programme. Before her current role, Ange was Head of Cloud and Technology Change Risk.
Prior to working at Lloyds, Ange led transformation teams and programmes at Deutsche Bank including: Cloud Security, Risk and Compliance, Anti-Financial Crime Analytics, Data Quality People Change and Money Markets Finance, Risk and Regulatory Reporting.
Before joining Deutsche Bank, Ange worked as a Senior Manager at EY across Asia Pacific and EMEIA within the Financial Services Organisation focusing on Corporate Banking and Capital Markets transformation and business, technology and programme advisory. Ange started her career at IBM in Australia working as a developer, tester, designer and then business analyst and project manager.
Ange has an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics / Robotics) and Computer Science from the University of Melbourne, Australia.

Nitesh Kumar is the Global Head of Cyber and Payment Systems Risk for BNP Paribas Group. He is an internationally recognized executive with a background in Payment Systems Risk Management, Cyber Security Resilience, Data Privacy, and Operational & Technology Risk Management. He has extensive global experience in the Financial Services in the United States, United Kingdom and India. He has successfully created a sustainable Risk and Audit teams where pragmatic and collaborative risk management is a daily part of corporate decision-making supporting the Cyber Resilience, Digital Transformation, Secure Cloud adoption and innovation strategies.

Deepthi Machavaram is an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley and serves as Head of Digital Financial Crimes Advisory. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Deepthi held senior digital financial crimes advisory roles at BNY Mellon and MUFG Bank. She started her career as an external consultant at multiple consulting firms including Big4. Her focus as a consultant in Financial Crimes practice included providing financial institution clients with technology portfolio analysis and upgrade strategy, enterprise-wide risk assessments and program overhauls. Deepthi received her B. Tech from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in India and M.B.A from Indian School of Business.

Oskar Rogg is Head of Treasury, Americas for Credit Agricole CIB. He joined the bank in 2006 after stints at Ernst & Young/Cap Gemini, a fin-tech boutique and 10 years running a startup consulting firm. Oskar began his career at First Boston (now Credit Suisse) where he developed software, worked in municipal finance and traded repo and municipal GICs. He has authored 15 books and articles, including chapters on repurchase agreements in the Handbook of Fixed Income Securities and the Handbook of Treasury Securities. He is a graduate of Cornell University and holds Series 7, 63, & 24 registrations and a PMP.

Sean is currently the Head of Risk and Compliance at Buckinghamshire Building Society Bank; having previously held senior risk roles at Barclays, Santander, Shawbrook and Pay.UK. Sean is responsible for the development, maintenance and oversight of the Society’s risk profile including Credit Risk, Financial Risk and Operational Risk. A self-confessed “risk evangelist”, Sean is driving data-driven risk assessment, taking an intelligence driven approach to change risk management, ensuring risk management drives dynamic strategic enablement and facilitates value creation.

Rodrigo Suarez is the Chief Banking & Innovation Officer at Piermont Bank where he oversees the innovation banking and payments businesses. He also manages the Bank’s product development, technology applications, and channel delivery to meet the evolving needs of its entrepreneurial clients. Rodrigo is a senior strategist with over a decade of experience in developing and supporting operating models for startups and financial institutions. He previously served as a Principal at INV FinTech, a startup accelerator in partnership with Fiserv and over 20 financial institutions. Rodrigo started his career as a management consultant to financial institutions in the U.S. and Latin America. He is a frequent speaker on innovation and digital transformation in the banking industry.

Stan has spent over a decade at firms like Citadel Securities, Marshall Wace, and Knight Capital Group, having pioneered RegTech, surveillance, compliance, and analytics programs from the ground-up in addition to covering sophisticated trading and technology environments across a spectrum of financial products globally. He serves as an Adviser to RegTech firms focusing on making legal and compliance more effective and efficient, in addition to teaching Trading, Risk Management, and Market Structure Regulation at Fordham University School of Law.  Stan holds a J.D. in Law from Fordham University School of Law where he was an Associate Editor on the Journal of Corporate & Financial Law, and additionally holds an M.Eng. in Engineering Management, M.S. in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Engineering, and M.A. in Technology, Policy & Ethics from Stevens Institute of Technology.
